“In order not to occupy the useful area of the site, I adapted the old barrels for planting strawberries. She painted the outer walls of the barrels, and then made a few cuts. Inside, I placed nutritious soil and planted strawberry bushes. And to make the barrels look bright and elegant, I used decoupage technique, pasting napkins with strawberry bushes in several places. Barrels have been serving for more than a year, and in addition to beauty, there is undeniable convenience. “Strawberry does not rot, it is not necessary to weed it, and besides, it is very convenient to harvest”.

I myself am not a summer resident, but for my sister, Natalya Zabora from Kurgan, this is both passion and hobby, or rather life, without which she simply cannot imagine herself. Her main passion is flowers. They bloom from spring to late autumn, replacing each other. But the universal favorite is already five years old, no less - this stump, which plays the role of either a flower bed or a jug. Every year different flowers grow there. Marigolds this year. Isn’t it cute ?! ”
3. Julia Gubanova, St. Petersburg
“I really love flowers, but for relatives, the main thing is edible,
beds. But I do not give up: I find old tires, cut out the excess and in order not to interfere with the beds, I place them along the track. I plant my favorite flowers so that impromptu flower beds are in bloom all summer. It may not be the best idea for design, but it pleases the eye, and digging out and sheltering for the winter is easy and convenient. "

My mothers and I are very fond of reading your journal.
As soon as they saw the news about the competition, they immediately decided to participate. I would like to talk about the plot of our friends. What is there just not !!! And most importantly, they do everything with their own hands, from improvised means. Their flowerbed is a real fairy tale: a firebird, castles from the fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty”, a mill, a heron, a butterfly and much more. And what kind of flowers - roses, petunia, chrysanthemums, gladioli, chamomile ... Miracle !!! Skillful fingers!!! In the photo I am with my husband Yuri.
5. Tatyana Tolmacheva, Tyumen region, the village of Omutinsky.
I try to make changes to the design of my small patio every summer. I am looking for something unusual and not taking up much space. I propose to see and evaluate a corner from old unnecessary shoes. He is very fond of my granddaughter.
Hello !!! I have a hobby, I really like to grow flowers. Many people think that these beautiful flowers adorn the old tires, but in fact this is not so. Therefore, I decided that something extraordinary was needed. That will attract attention. Entering the garage, I saw a bunch of unnecessary flower pots. The thought came by itself, and what if you take and create beautiful dolls ... Dolls decorate my garden and are useful)) You can also create a dog.
I hope you will like it.

Good afternoon or evening to everyone who makes this wonderful magazine!
We decided to try your luck in the contest announced some time ago by your editors. The fact is that we do not have a summer house (we have been occupied with flower beds at our entrance for more than five years), but it was boring to look and wait for someone to ennoble this place. Recalling the slogan of Soviet times, we decided: "Who, if not us?" The thing went ...
First, on one side of the entrance, the territory was ennobled, and a couple of years ago they decided that it was not worth growing nettles at our entrance, especially since the neighbors began to bring flowers to plant. I didn’t want to refuse offers, so the matter went further ...
But, as usual, ideas never run dry, I want something new and interesting. And when you see how people stop and study with interest, consider, even arrange photo sessions with our inventions - just the soul sings and rejoices. Someone just looks, and someone on a flower bed then you see your ideas embodied in the hands of other people. A lot of kids can’t walk past our well, everyone is trying to either just wet their hands there or bathe the frogs and turtles that settled there. Many bring their friends from other neighborhoods to admire our beauty. And the most important thing for us is that in recent years no one’s hand has raised a hand to spoil something, and if you want some flowers, they’ll ask for permission to receive them.
I would like to add that husbands help in the manufacture and equipment (stones, wood, work), and children - in watering (we live on the third floor) and weeding.
If in a few words, then that’s all. The most important thing is that everything is done with your own hands from your ideas.
9. Frolova Irina, 26 years old.
I really like to decorate the garden with interesting crafts, and every time I am pleased to embody new ideas. After collecting another portion of the pepper crop, my niece decided to immediately taste it, sitting next to an unusual flowerbed. The flowerbed is a frog princess made from an old car tire, and at the back there is an equally interesting barrel - a fabulous character!
All these crafts decorate our cottage, make it more comfortable. Every day spent in the country is unforgettable!
It is doubly joyful for the soul, because you understand that we created this splendor with our own hands!

In the 90s, they acquired a plot of land in an endangered village. He was all pitted with holes. According to local old-timers, a merchant’s house stood at this place. They were dispossessed in one night, but they found nothing of value, and local peasants for a long time searched for treasure in this section. We found here a "treasure" in the form of a paradise for our family. Since childhood, my husband loved to do crafts made of wood, he cut down a log house and built a house. When the need to grow vegetables in large quantities disappeared, we took half of the site under the recreation area. and that's what we got. And there are more ideas ahead!
Well, I can not resist boasting a crop of watermelons. Here is a 10kg watermelon. I grew up in the Urals !!!
11. Igor Shipov, Moscow
The design option for a children's town in a summer cottage, invented jointly with my four-year-old daughter.
12. Oksana Efremova, the city of Istra, Moscow Region
This is what a magic watering can appeared on our flowerbed this summer! From old and unsuitable watering cans and buckets, my sister created this beauty - painted it with bright colors and pasted pictures using decoupage technique. Mom is planting flowers on the flowerbed; she also owns the idea of creating such a composition.

Two years ago, my parents and I bought a land area of 15 acres with an unfinished house. The site was littered with construction debris and weed. I wanted to do a lot with my own hands. Slowly they began to build a house and equip the land. We all love flowers, but I want the beds to be. They bought a plastic pond, decorations in the form of a fence, and father cut out swans from old tires, which they then painted. They arranged a recreation area by sowing lawn grass and planting conifers and roses. They built an entrance arch twisted with clematis. And the house is slowly being built. We are all trying to participate, and so are the children. Artem is 4 years old, Anton is 1 year old - three generations take part in the construction and decoration of the site. From day to day, our site turns into a fairy tale, where there are geese, swans, and mushrooms with eyes, and an ever-flowering tree with ever-singing birds, and a wonderful pond, and talking owls, who, sitting at the gate, tell who came and even the cat in boots (but usually he prefers to walk without boots).
Our dream is to build a house, and around it a sweet heart corner. And our dream will come true, I'm sure of it!

Hello dear edition!
Like many others, I decided to take part in your competition. I want to brag about my summer cottage. I am a big lover of flowers (especially roses). Every summer I try to come up with something new. My youngest daughter
(I have three of them) loves toy insects and dinosaurs very much. I hope to create an island for dinosaurs next year, but for a spider there was a place in the corner. So I hope next year to take part in your contest again with the Dinosaurs ... (in the photo I and my youngest daughter)
